 Honeymoon in Marrakech

Marrakech offer a diverse variety of  the best honeymoon locations  in Morocco to couples from all over the globe. Marrakech’s main square or downtown the most lively and colorful area , called Djemaa El-Fna, might be one of the best people-watching spots in the world. Djemaa El-Fna, is center of the old city, or medina, of Marrakech, takes visitors back in time. Always filled with water sellers, musicians, traditional dancers ,storytellers, snake charmers, magicians and other street performers. In surroundings of the Djemaa El-Fna, you will find some of the best souks in Morocco, where you can go shopping ,buy decoration pieces, fragrances, spices, textiles and carpets etc. For the ultimate exotic honeymoon, stay in one of the old city’s romantic traditional houses called the RIADS with a central garden. Many of the riads are converted to guest houses so they are similar to a bed and breakfast.

A masterpiece of art exclusively designed for couples and families seeking a place with perfect Harmony for an unforgettable vacation .

Many of the rooms have recently been updated in jewel-coloured tadelakt, while crimson walls point you in the direction of sun-bathed courtyards filled with trees strung with giant wicker lanterns lending a more streamlined feel to the sprawl. If you just want to chill there are wide galleries dotted with vintage armchairs wrapped around the main house, soaring palms shade the courtyard pool and a collection of striped sofas beneath a Berber tent on the roof make a top spot for a snooze mid-afternoon. A rooftop yoga terrace and a boutique showcasing the best Moroccan artisans.

In rooms: artwork from the owners’ collection, hand-stitched Egyptian-cotton linen, leather babouches, free bottled water and air-conditioning. Suites have a minibar, a kettle and a coffee machine; some rooms have working fireplaces and a stash of logs

Facilities & Rooms

El Fenn exudes that special brand of big-family atmosphere that eludes so many chains and the vibe is so laid-back you can easily forget there’s anyone around at all. That’s not say you don’t feel looked after, but if you’re feeling adventurous in-room guides provide irreverent tips on the latest hotspots (Café Clock, Nomad), reassurance (don’t sweat the funny smells, it’s the medina) and encouragement (you’ve not done Marrakech until you’ve eaten tangia).

Specially designed rooms

The Pool Suite,or Room 6, is a split-level rock-star retreat with its own spacious private terrace with little unheated nice pool. Room 11 has a dramatic, scarlet-upholstered 10ft  headboard, white marble fireplace, and private veranda simply amazing . Room 10 is similar, but turquoise both rooms fantastic . In the main riad, most of the rooms are open-plan suites, 6 with fireplaces and all with 6ft  wide beds and Egyptian cotton bedlinen, giant custom-built baths, and powerful showers. The ‘Pink Room’ an Extra Large Suite, lives up to its name, spreading   shades ranging from fuchsia to ballet-pump, its grey-marble bathroom with a mini hammam and a bath tub lined in marble shot through with rosy hues is just perfect .

Three pools. In serene and shaded open-air courtyard’s, the hotel’s two Carrara marble-lined pools are surrounded by day-beds and a fire-pit; the petite plunge pool on the roof has a Berber-tented sitting area and sweeping views of the Atlas Mountains and the Koutoubia mosque.

The little spa is tucked away in its own serenely shaded courtyard. Dip in the spa pool or lounge alongside it between treatments. Try the hammam and massage – they’re both first class, or perhaps a Saharan-sand scrub; gents get their own facial too. Guests get a 20 per cent discount on treatments taken between 10am and 3pm, and you’re asked to arrive in your bathrobe.

Food & drink

The heart of the place is a midnight blue restaurant and bar – a giant  room with two fireplaces, vast mustard sofas , and bouncing light of mirrored beams off the ceilings. It’s also the buzziest spot in town for watching the wildlife: visiting designers,  artists, and the odd celebs all come to party here . Before moving onto Maroc-bistro dishes like smoked duck breast with fig tart  and preserved lemons and olives with poussin tagine , Hit the bar for a fresh mojito that is expertly mixed .

Hotel restaurant

Daily-changing Mod Med-Maroc menus based on what’s in season from El Fenn’s organic garden suppliers: country-style at lunch (burgers, salads and light bites), polished and inventive ‘new-wave’ Moroccan fare at supper, (both €30). Expect dishes such as fillet steak with coriander couscous, caramelised duck breast with ras-el-hanout-spiced vegetables and nougat for dessert. Breakfast is a lavish spread (€15 a person, but included for Smiths) of hot and cold delicacies: home-made yoghurt and granola, fresh fruit, cakes, pastries, breads, Moroccan pancakes, tea, coffee and orange juice and eggs cooked to your taste: shakshouka – in a spicy tomato sauce – fried, boiled, poached, scrambled or in an omelette.

Hotel bar

As well as in the stylish, art deco-inspired Krug bar, guests are served drinks anywhere they like in the riad. We recommend flopping down onto one of the rof terrace’s soft banquettes and sampling the drinks list while you gaze out over the city. Drinks are served four ways: tall, short, tropical or shot. We recommend a tall drink on the rooftop (perhaps an El Dorado with tequila, lemon juice and honey), short then tropical libations in the bar (the piña coladas are eminently sluggable) and finish your night with a few potent shots.

Family Suites with Two-rooms , contains a roll-top bath and fireplaces  are ideal when you’re travelling Brangelina style, but you can’t help but feel a gaggle of kids might cramp your style when you’re posing for that perfect selfie by the rooftop pool.

Room service

You can order up burgers, pasta, light dishes and desserts on request, up until 10pm.
